ELEC Contribution Guidelines

• Contributions to any of the three elections funds are NOT deductible for tax purposes

• Banks, insurance corporations, public utilities, cable television corporations, as well as certain casino interests are prohibited contributors

• State law requires political committees to report the name, address and employer of each individual contribution in excess of $300 in a calendar year

• Federal law prohibits foreign nationals from making contributions to any candidate and prohibits candidates from accepting such contributions
